Schuyler Ivey has over 20 years in the Human Services field with the last 11 years working as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She was raised in Allen, TX and moved to Nacogdoches, TX to pursue her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education (Special Education) degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. While working as a Psychologist at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center, Schuyler began her studies of Applied Behavior Analysis. Life then threw a curve ball in the form of a big move to Hartford, CT where Schuyler spent 4 years working as a Behavior Analyst and supervising BCBA’s, BCaBA’s, and behavioral therapists. Another of life’s curve balls came in with another transfer to the Fort Worth, TX area in early 2016. Schuyler has been working with adults with behavioral challenges, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, as well as Autism Spectrum Diagnoses since her return to Texas. It is Schuyler’s passion to provide individuals, families, and providers with the tools and resources to be successful, increase independence, and have full, happy lives.
Schuyler has a son, Merrick, who is 22, and a daughter, Avery, who is 19. In her free time, Schuyler enjoys watching Texas Rangers baseball, visiting her son at her alma mater (he’s a Senior at SFA!), spending as much time with her daughter as she's "allowed", training, playing, and loving on her pups (Dodger & Yankee), snuggling one of her 2 cats (Sessy Boy, Baby Darlin'), perusing the aisles of Target, laughing, spending time with family and friends, snuggling her niece as much as she can, and spending time making new memories and learning who she is as an "empty nest" parent.
